One of many cheap films churned out to capitalize on the popularity and talent of Clara Bow, this is a college tale about a bad girl who tries to save the reputation of her bland boyfriend.
Bow’s considerable charisma goes a long way toward saving this picture (which was condemned as being a bad influence on the youth when it was released) and you get to see a young Gilbert Roland in a supporting role, as well as a blink-and-you’ll-miss-him glimpse of Clark Gable. No masterpiece but worth seeing.
How does it end? Hover or tap below for a spoiler.Bow gives up her flapper ways in order to land bland Donald Keith.
If it were a dessert it would be: Fresh Cherries Dipped in Cheap Chocolate. You’re still gonna eat ’em.
Availability: Released on DVD but now out of print. Here’s hoping for an HD release!
