Cleo Ridgely is in the “repent at leisure” stage of her hasty marriage to a ne’er-do-well. Then she gets a chance to play Cinderella when her wealthy employers need a beautiful woman to keep would-be investor Wallace Reid hanging around.
Reid and Ridgely have excellent chemistry and director Cecil B. DeMille has fun evading the censors with the wacky plot. Beautiful cinematography and believable grime enhance this under-viewed picture.

Ridgely’s awful husband is killed and she and Reid end the thing ambiguously staring ahead.Read my full-length review here.
If it were a dessert it would be: Mocha Meringues. Slightly mysterious in texture but with plenty of down home flavor.

One of the most enjoyable silent from the teens, and DeMille to boot.
Yes, grand fun!
