Fun Size Review: The Doll-House Mystery (1915)

A doting father with a criminal record just wants to go straight after a stint in prison but life has other plans… This sounds like the hook of a film noir but this is really a WWI-era short film.

The resolution is a bit pat and naive but the gritty tone, daring stunt work and stylish direction from brothers Sidney and Chester Franklin make this picture one worth seeing.
