Well, another month has passed us by and I had a wonderful time covering the films that you requested. Thank you so much for participating!
You may have noticed my posting was a bit oddball. It was an eventful month because, after managing to avoid it for three years, I caught COVID and was in a bad way. I managed to keep up my review schedule, shockingly enough, and only posted late once because I had to take my dog to the emergency vet. (He’s fine, it was a flu and he recovered with medicine.)
Anyway, I am better, my dog is better and I had a good time fulfilling your requests for The Girl Behind the Counter, The Phantom of the Moulin Rouge and Underground. A reader also just requested something more in the British film line, so I reviewed the Victorian smut picture Duel to the Death.
As always, I like these months because they pull me out of my comfort zone and guide me to films that I may not have necessarily reached for on my own. Once again, I deeply appreciate everyone who came forward with a request. Same time next year!
