Fun Size Review: The Vagabond Prince (1916)

Prince Tonio decides that he’s sick of princing, so he runs away to San Francisco, poses as a sailor and falls in love with a singer named Fluffy, as one does.

This is a pretty standard Roman Holiday plot but the title cards are pretty amusing. If you name your heroine Fluffy, amusing dialogue is bound to follow. Not recommended as your first silent but mostly harmless.

How does it end? Hover or tap below for a spoiler.

Tonio is the spare and when the heir is killed, he becomes king and asks Fluffy to be his queen.

If it were a dessert it would be: German Chocolate Sauerkraut Cake. A classic base with a weird ingredient.

Availability: Released on DVD.
