Ignored upon initial release, this smart drama has since built a following among silent movie fans and for very good reason: it’s excellent.
It’s about a sophisticated Englishwoman who finds herself stuck in a marriage of convenience with a rough Canadian farmer. Veteran leading man Thomas Meighan and newcomer Mona Palma give brilliant, understated performances. Do yourself a favor and seek this picture out.
