Pauline Garon stars as a trapeze artist who falls for a rich boy slumming at the circus. And he has a snobby fiancee and an overbearing father! We all know exactly where this is going, right?
The heroine is simpering and story is pretty paint-by-numbers but the location shooting at an actual circus provides a refreshing layer of grit to the proceedings. Future Bogart director Archie Mayo is to be praised for taking a sow’s ear and making a decent polyester handbag.

If it were a dessert it would be: Those sugar cookies from a tube. Not exactly gourmet but I won’t turn them down.
