Fun Size Review: The Beloved Blackmailer (1918)

A mixed bag of a comedy about a young lady who falls for a hypochondriac. What to do? Obviously, hire a retired boxer to kidnap him and make a fighter of him. Yeah, I can see no flaws in this plan.

Only about half the jokes land in this picture, to be honest, but if you’re a fan of Fort Lee filmmaking or a fan of leading man Carlyle Blackwell, you will find this picture worth your time.

How does it end? Hover or tap below for a spoiler.

The plan works and Blackwell saves his lady love from a cad in the expected movie manner.

If it were a dessert it would be: Beeramisu. Tries a bit too hard but means well.

Availability: Released on DVD.
