Clara Bow’s Idea: Throw a Nasty Party

So you have a friend from the city staying in the backwoods. What do you do to make him feel more at home? Throw a nasty party, of course! Do I have to tell you everything?

Mantrap remains one of Clara Bow’s most successful and popular vehicles. Based on a novel by Sinclair Lewis (that could easily be the bible for the He-Man Woman Haters Clun), the film was turned into an ode to the flapper and her free spirited ways. Which did indeed include nasty parties.

You can read my review here.

Availability: Mantrap is available on DVD, either as a standalone disc or as part of the Treasures V: The West box set, which is highly recommended, by the way.
